Here's
something I bet no one realizes... The United States has currently
increased oil production more than at any time in its history. We were
all told that if we sacrificed our public lands and the environment in
general, we would benefit from less dependency on foreign oil and our
prices at the pump would go down. What I bet you didn't know is that
with the increased production of U.S. Oil, we have increased EXPORTATION
of U.S. oil to China and elsewhere in the world where demand continues
to be high. This means that even though we have more oil and U.S. demand
for gasoline has dropped by 9% we are unlikely to see any significant
drop in prices at the pump. Oil companies will not be served record
breaking profits by protecting Americans at the gas pump. So we will be
paying the high cost of fuel because OUR fuel is going over seas.
